The Davies Charitable Foundation has periodic competitions for charitable funding. The competitions will entertain applications from the arts, education, sports and health. Applications will be accepted from eligible charitable organizations and individuals from the Kingston area.
Individuals seeking funding cannot receive direct funding and must be aligned with a charitable organization, i.e. a national sport organization. The available funding and number of awards will vary and will be made available with the announcement of the competition. Successful applications will be informed approximately 4-6 weeks after the competition. The Davies Charitable Foundation reserves the right to limit the funding available in a competition if all or some applications are deemed unsatisfactory. Subscribe to our mailing list if you would like to be informed of our upcoming competitions for charitable funding.
Any funding granted by the Davies Charitable Foundation must be made payable directly to a registered charity. Visit Canada Revenue Agency to confirm the Registration Number of your charity. Applications will not be entertained from those who have received funding of at least $2,500 from the Davies Charitable Foundation in the previous two years.
Only online applications will be accepted.
The Davies Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce the 2021 Major Gift competition. Registered charities that meet the geographic eligibility criteria detailed on our website are encouraged to submit an application for funding up to $75,000. Applications will be accepted until 17:00 on February 19, 2021. Upon review, the Foundation Trustees will decide upon a short-list of up to three submissions who will be invited to virtually present to the Trustees. The Trustees will then determine, which, if any, of the short-listed submissions will receive funding.
